If you haven't thought of this topic, know is the time to answer it. Judo is of coarse the "Gentle way" of martial arts, but Karate, you strike more than you throw. Grappling and Striking are two different meanings also. Think hard, and use YOUR thinking power!

Take Care,

I have the yellow belt @ Judo, even though I am not really great. I've quit it ages ago.
Judo is more about using the opponent's energy against him.

Karate is a much more practical form of martial arts in my opinion.

I was kicked out of Tae Kwon Do for being "too aggressive". After the incident they tried to make me sign something saying if I didn't use it for defensive purposes only then we'd be charged or something. Never went back after that, damn pricks.

Sort of happened when I tried karate. Though I think it was because I got the teacher in the crotch.

These two sports can't be compared, Judo is defensive and Karate is offensive.

I hold the blue belt in Judo, but I also quit it years ago.

Exactly! My mum was one of the best in her country at the time. If anything the smaller you are the easier it is to take someone down.

Never tried Judo. The only martial art I'm having is Krav Maga and I am currently in the orange belt rank.

I play Kyokushin Kai aka; Kyokushin Karate.
I have the brown belt.
So I'm with Karate since I haven't test Judo.
Every year we have a championship in my country, last year my team won! :)
I can't wait to join this year and get to black belt, if I can, well maybe it will take 2+ years, because I don't know if there will be a championship this year or after it.

I took an internal style of Kung Fu and really enjoyed it. It was very mental, and also using your opponents force against them. I wish I had time to practice every day, but life tends to get in the way.

I get it, but calling me a 'badass' isn't pretty much a "fuck you" to me.
